Payment Options

Dear Parents/Guardians,

PKA has two options for attendance, two day and full time.

One option is 2 days per week for one session for $100.

You must select your two days when you register and students cannot be switched to other days.

The second option is for full time with a $200 fee to cover the cost of the entire session which spans 6 to 8 weeks.

The price is the same whether a student attends three, four or five days a week.

We offer several methods of payments to help working families budget for this, including paying in full with your registration, two monthly payments and five weekly payments.

All fees are flat rate so no adjustments are made for absences or school cancellations.

Please be aware:

Your payments are processed through PKA and then the MSAD72 district. This means the processing time can vary. You should expect a minimum of 30 days for your checks to clear. We will happily accept cash payments if this will help to avoid the possibility of the district charging a $10.00 bounced check fee.

PKA charges a late pick up fee of $20 if you arrive after 5:30. This $20 fee applies to the first 1 to 15 minutes you are late, an additional $20 fee is charged for every 15 minutes thereafter. This strict policy is in place for the safety of staff and children and to cover overtime expenses incurred. Payment is due in full before your child returns to the program. If you are late 3 times in one year, you will be asked to leave the program.

All accounts must be paid in full before registering for a new session of PKA, applying for a scholarships, or applying for a barter.

Barter Option

In addition to paid tuition, we have a barter program whereby parents can volunteer for the after school program or support your school or PTA in lieu of payment.

There are many ways volunteers can help. Site coordinators will help parents find the right volunteering opportunities.

Below are just a few ways adults can volunteer for PKA.

  • Assist during PKA during homework help time

  • Assist during a PKA enrichment activity

  • Support your school by volunteering in your child’s classroom or helping with field trips

  • Support your school’s staff or work with your PTA

A student may attend PKA for one session full time, if an adult volunteers for 16 hours during that session.

A student may attend PKA for two days a week, if an adult volunteers for 8 hours during that session.

If adults fail to fulfill their barter agreement, they will be required to pay the full amount due for that session.

Anyone interested in participating in the barter program must discuss their proposed barter with a PKA coordinator prior to filling out the application at least two weeks before the session starts. Your approval is contingent upon its suitability and fit into the current PKA session schedule.

  • All barter agreements must be approved before they are valid.

  • All participants are required to document their time using PKA Barter Vouchers.

  • Vouchers must be signed by PKA, PTA, or appropriate school staff.

  • Return signed vouchers to PKA to fulfill the requirements of your agreement.

Anyone wishing to donate their time so that another student may attend PKA is welcome to do so.  The donation of time must be completed in a session prior to the student attending.  Donation of time can occur over multiple sessions and be “banked” for use in a later session but hours will not be carried over into succeeding school years.

How to submit your barter slip vouchers for PKA:

1) Print barter voucher slips, complete them and have them signed by the appropriate sign off person (i.e. PKA Coordinator, Principal or MSAD 72 staff of your school, PTA President or officer) and turn in the hard copies to a Coordinator at PKA.

2) Download barter voucher slips, write in the specifics of your barter  and send copies via e-mail to the appropriate sign off person (i.e. PKA Coordinator, Principal, PTA President), have them e-mail back to you once approved (signed) , and then forward approval e-mail along with completed voucher slip attachments to: or
